Privacy policy

What stays on your device

Everything that defines your use of MiBB lives on the phone in your hand:

• Your baby's profile (or several) — name, sex, date of birth, gestational weeks and an optional photo. Stored in a local Hive database inside the private (sandboxed) storage the operating system assigns to the app, accessible only to MiBB.
• The daily diary — feeds and nursing, diapers and poops, sleep, baths, supplements, symptoms and cord care, with their times.
• Growth & health — weight, height and head circumference (and the WHO percentiles computed from them), vaccines and appointments, first foods with allergens, the tooth map and any associated photos.
• Preferences — language, theme (light/dark), text size and density, active modules. Local.
• Premium subscription receipts — cached locally to confirm your subscription is active (see next section).

What travels over the network

MiBB makes exactly one kind of external connection, and only when you buy or revalidate Premium:

1. Subscription validation. Billing is handled exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play — MiBB never sees your card, IBAN, bank details or any financial data. When you subscribe, restore a previous purchase, or the app periodically rechecks that it is still valid, we ask a small service of ours to confirm with Apple or Google that the store-issued receipt is genuine, and we return a small signed confirmation so the app unlocks Premium. We don't store the receipt, don't tie it to any identifier and don't store any of your baby's data.

No analytics endpoint. No crash reporter. No pings on app launch. No "anonymous telemetry". The diary, growth data and photos never leave the device.

What we don't do

• No analytics SDK — no Firebase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, Crashlytics, TelemetryDeck or equivalents.
• No advertising identifier — we don't read or transmit IDFA on iOS or AAID on Android.
• No third-party tracking SDKs of any kind.
• No MiBB server storing your data. The only backend we run is the receipt validator above.
• No account. There's no sign-up because there's no backend that wants to know who you are.
• No advertising inside the app or in notifications.
• No Health Connect or Apple Health in this version. MiBB neither reads from nor writes to the system health apps.

Optional backup (iCloud / Google)

Your phone's operating system may include MiBB's data in your iCloud (iPhone, iPad) or Google (Android) backup, per your device's standard settings. That's an Apple/Google feature, not ours. When enabled, your data goes to your iCloud or Google account — never to a MiBB server, because we don't run one for baby data. Apple or Google manage that backup under their own policies.

Permissions

• Notifications — for the vaccine and appointment reminders you schedule. They are local notifications scheduled by the phone's OS; there is no remote push.
• Camera & photos — optional. Only if you choose to add a photo of your baby, a tooth coming through, or an appointment referral. The image is stored only in the app's local storage. We don't upload or process it on any server.
• Microphone — optional. Only if you choose to record your baby's voice when saving one of their phrases. The audio is stored only in the app's local storage. We don't upload or process it on any server.
• Calendar — optional. Only when you tap "Add to calendar" on an appointment; the app creates the event in your phone's calendar with your permission.

Baby data and sensitive data

Information about your baby's health, growth, feeding and routines is sensitive data under the GDPR (special category of health data, art. 9) and also concerns a minor. That's why MiBB is designed never to send it to any server: the best-protected special category is the one that never leaves the device. WHO percentiles are computed on the phone itself from the measurements you enter; no external service is queried.

Data Safety / App Privacy summary

• Health and minor's data — baby profile, diary, growth, feeding, teeth, optional photos. Collected: yes, on-device only. Shared: no. Transmitted: no. Storage: local Hive database in the app's private storage.
• Payment data — card, IBAN, any banking data. Collected: NO. Billing is done by Apple or Google; MiBB never sees it.
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID). Collected / read: NO.
• Account identifiers (email, phone, username). Collected: NO. The app has no accounts.
• Location (GPS, IP). Collected / requested: NO.
• Contacts, SMS, calls, clipboard. Accessed: NO.
• Camera / photos. Used: only if you add a photo. Transmitted: NO.
• Health Connect / Apple Health. Used: NO in this version.
• Crash reports / analytics / telemetry. Sent to a third party: NO.

The only network traffic — the signed subscription validation — travels over HTTPS with TLS 1.2 or higher.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to know what personal data is processed about you. The honest answer for MiBB is: none. There is no profile, log or record of you or your baby on any server we operate.

To erase everything MiBB "knows", uninstall the app: that removes the local database, associated photos, history and cached receipts. Apple and Google keep their own subscription records under their policies; we don't. Remember to cancel the subscription in Apple or Google before uninstalling if you don't want it to renew.

Children

MiBB is designed for an adult (parent or carer) to keep a baby's diary. The baby's data is entered by the adult and stays on their device. The app is not intended to be used by minors and collects no one's data on any server.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and publish the new version at this URL. Any substantial change will be announced in the relevant app release notes beforehand.

Language

The original and binding version of this Privacy Policy is the Spanish one. Versions in other languages are translations provided solely for your convenience; in the event of any discrepancy or conflict of interpretation, the Spanish version shall prevail.
